What would you do if you found out your child was being taught by a former porn star? That's what happened in St. Louis recently when Tericka Dye, who acted in porn films in the mid 90s, was forced to resign from her job after one of her students revealed her past.

Dye, 38, was forced to resign from her position as a science teacher at Parkway North in St. Louis after a student asked her about previous career as an adult film actress under the name Rikki Anderson.

School officials removed Dye from the class room after deciding her past would be a distraction to students. She was placed administrative leave and will be paid through the end of the year.

As for Dye herself, she says acting in pornographic films -- including titles such as "Major Slut" and "Butt Brats 7" -- was one of the worst things she's ever done.

"I'm a girl from the wrong side of the tracks who's made a lot of bad decisions in life," she said.  "Anybody who's been in my classroom could tell you how much I love teaching and how much I love these students, and that should be what matters more than anything in my past."

This is the second time Dye has lost her job due to her past. In 2006, Dye was working as a volleyball teacher when she was suspended after adminstrators found out about her porn career.
